"Intelligent" Business Process Management

This has become very popular in the companies of some size to support managers with the IT tools known as Business Process Management. BPM has been one of the important pieces of what is also known as Enterprise Architecture. The interesting observation is how big vendors transform the concept of architecture and management into the choice of the software platform for building business processes. What happens with the BPM is similar to whar happend some years ago with SOA. The architecture part of Service Orientation is commonly replaced by the choice of middleware and particularly ESB (Enterprise Service Bus).
